Teignmouth is a seaside town with a busy port and has something for everyone. You could spend your day paddling in the sea, walking along the sand, swimming in the lido or eating wonderful food, for example, fresh and locally caught fish. There are also other family activities such as crazy golf and the ‘Grand Teignmouth Pier’.

For younger children there is an award winning playground right on the seafront, a short walk from parking too! It also features a wet play area called ‘the Den’ and it is surrounded by cafes and food kiosks – just remember to bring swim wear, a towel or maybe just some spare clothes!

For the more active there are also plenty of water sports to try. Local companies offer lessons in a variety of things from kayaking and sailing to paddle boarding and jet skiing. The estuary means that there are sheltered waters for beginners as well as the opens seas.

If you’re just passing by through Teignmouth, it is definitely worth stopping by to check out the area (and the drive from Exeter to Teignmouth is very pretty) especially if you’re into photography!
