Due to last minute licensing complications, Great Western Beach have announced that they are unable to accommodate this weekend’s Electric Beach Festival as planned. Scheduled to take place on Friday 16th June – Saturday 17th June, Electric Beach Festival will now be at the new location, The Chy Bar & Kitchen and The Koola Club.
With this year’s music schedule still going ahead as planned, Electric Beach Festival organisers can confirm that headline acts Badly Drawn Boy and Cuban Brothers will be making their way to Newquay to perform at the new location.
Commenting on recent developments, the new lease-holders of Great Western Beach, said: “We are truly sorry for the inconvenience that the move of Electric Beach from Great Western Beach has caused. We hope the event is a great success and once again offer our sincere apologies to both ticket holders and to those due to work at the beach.”
Festival Director Ben Hall states: “In light of the news from Great Western Beach lease-holders, Electric Beach Festival has been forced to move location. The event will now be taking place at The Chy Bar & Kitchen and The Koola Club with the full music line up going ahead as planned. We deeply regret the disappointment caused but hope ticket holders will be keen to join us at the new venue. Festival guests wishing to demo bellyboards or take part in the official Dick Pearce & Friends Bellyboard Bash are advised to meet at The Chy Bar & Kitchen from midday on Saturday 17th June.
Electric Beach Festival will also host a medley of post festival parties at The Chy Bar & Kitchen and The Koola Club.
